Sofía Elizabeth Morris (born June 3rd, 1985) is an American lawyer. She is known as fiancée of the Governor of New York, Albert McPherson, who met her during his campaign, in 2014.
Raised in Albuquerque, Morris is a graduate of the University of New York and spent her early legal career working at the Blanch Law Firm, in immigration and labour issues. She left her long-time job after the election of McPherson, to assume the place of First Lady of New York State.
Sofía Morris is the eldest daughter of Maria Teresa (née Morales), a housewife, and Peter Morris, a car salesman. The couple also had two younger sons, Carlos (b. 1988) and Pablo (b. 1990).
Morris is fluent in English and Spanish, by the influence of her parents.
